Team

This is our team, first on the left is Thomas, he's from Switzerland and he, next to him is Maryse, she is from Holland, behind her is the Pastor, his name is Peter. In front of him is Lynn, she is married to the guy behind her and his name is Llewellyn. Beside Lynn is Denise, behind her is Tracy, my flat mate, In front of her is Angeline, married to the pastor. Behind me is Christo and beside him is Pieter and his wife is missing from the picture and her name is Martie.

These are a bunch of the children from the outreach crowding around Tracy.

And Hello from me, I thought that I should send a photo so you still remember who I am. This is in my new room, I moved because Tracy came and she is only here for so short and so I got the bigger room. As you can see I am well and happy, sometimes I miss home and all of you, but The Lord is gracious and seems to send an e-mail or letter or package from home right at the perfect time that I need it. So thank you to everyone who has sent me letters or e-mails and packages I am so happy for them, they really mean a lot to me.
This weekend we might go to this fair ground where there is some kind of shows going on and some rides and other stuff, so we'll see how that goes.
Oh and I forgot to tell you, on Sunday I saw a big spider, I admit it wasn't as big as the one in Mexico but it was still big enough for me to go the other way, and for the last week a big fat frog has made it's way into the shelves in the office and into my music books. So each time we go into them to look for songs they are there near the bindings or they fall out. It's so gross because it's so unexpected. And they said that they saw a night adder (snake for those of you who don't know what that is) just on the other side of the road by our house.AAHHH I haven't seen it yet though. OK that's pretty much it, miss all of you and have a great day. D

Rynos!

This was a Ryno that we saw, I'm sorry that I didn't get a really good picture of the horn, it was huge. It was so amazing to see this Ryno and baby, they ended up coming onto the road in front of us and continued to walk for a while down the road. I was nervous because the mama kept looking back at us to see where we were and all we could see was the huge horn, but it was a site to see.

Monkeys!

I was so excited when we saw that monkeys, I don't know for some reason I love monkeys, I think that they are so cute. When I was standing there looking at them there was one that was looking at me and when I moved he couldn't see me and so he would move to see me. It was the cutest thing and it went on for a while. So I tried to get some pictures to capture them but these are the best pictures I could get. Everytime that I tried to take a picture they would turnt heir heads or run away. They were naughty as well, when we weren't looking they almsot got into the vehicle and would've stolen our stuff, but they are deceiving because they are so cute.
Well hopefully tomorrow I will show you pictures of the Ryno that I saw, but one of my favorites were the monkeys. OK have a wonderful day and I hope that you are enjoying the pictures.

Game Reserve #2

This is a picture of the inside of abuilding that was there, it is a conference place. And the roof looked cool and so I thought I would let you see it as well as the horns.
This was a jiraffe that was just standing there and so I tried to get as close to it as possible, it was so cool to see. I got pretty close and then one of the girls said that I shouldn't get too close because they could kick, and that made me nervous so I stopped advancing towards him. But he was amazing to see!
These giraffes were outside the game reserve, just along the side of the road, I was so excited to see them just out in the wild and there were no fences around them.
This was a little lizard thing that was on the veranda outside the conference place. We stopped and had coffee and these little things were everywhere.

Game Reserve

This is the entrance to the game reserve that we went to on Saturday.

This was the reception building and I thought that it was really different so I thought that I would take a picture for you to see the roof.

This was a display of some of the animals that were in the place.

I thought this sign was crazy! Forget pedestrians!!! I have never seen this sign, I had to take a picture.
Well here are a few of the pictures that I took when we first entered the game reserve. There are more pictures of animals and they are to come, I just don't have the time at the moment, but I will put them on. I got pictures of Giraffes, wildebeasts, warthogs, rynos and monkeys, etc. So I will put them on, but I got to go and do the veggie run. This is when we pick up the donation from the grocery store and they need help doing it this week and so I am the one to go and do it.

Fun Pictures

This is my flat mate, she is fun as you can see. I am going to miss her when she goes in May.

These are two bugs that were in our house and so we killed them. We have this spray called DOOM and we use it for all bugs, they say that you only have to spray it a little and it will eventually die. Well no thanks I spray them until they are white covered in that stuff and then they aren't moving so much. I thought these were cockroaches but they're only crickits! Yuck

Anyways I just wanted to share these with you.
Oh yeah and I got my first package yesterday from Lynda and Bonnie and I was so excited. It just made my day, the Lord is so good and His timimg is perfect. It was such a great package!

This was the children's choir that came to sing for us, these are all the children that go to school there on the mission.


This was the beautiful scenery that we saw while we were there. Down below where you can see rows of trees, they are avacado trees!

It was so beautiful there, things are so green. I was surprised when we saw those avacado trees, I'm not sure what I expected but it wasn't that. Hey Rob you would have loved it, there they love their avacados, they even ate them at breakfast. Wow and we saw Kiwi trees, so that was something different. Ok talk later. D

Hello!

Hello to everyone at home. I thought I would take a picture and send it so that you know that I am ok and doing fine. I write but I never seem to send pictures that I am in. So here I am, and I really do hope that you are all happy and still love God and are living for Him because you love Him! I do think of you often, I even went onto the church webpage and saved some of the pictures from the gallery and have them as screen savers. Please know that I am fine, and missing the people that are important is normal, so don't worry.

Back from Kwasizabantu

There were Zebras there and that was neat to see them.


This is the Dutch family that we stayed with they were wonderful.

And this is one of the Rondovals that people live in and I thought that is was cute so I took this picture.

Our time at Kwasizabantu was good, but it was hard to sit for so long. We had sessions three times a day and they were usually about 3 hours long and we sat on hard benches. But it was good to be there, the people that live there remind me of the Amish in our country. We were told to wear skirts when we went there and every lady does, we also weren't really allowed or encouraged to wear any make up or do anything to our hair but to be natural. The people there are great though, they really know how to love and live in community, the atmosphere was different there, it will be nice to go back and visit again sometime.
I have some more pictures, so I will maybe put them on tomorrow.
Hey and thanks Bai and Jenny for the comments they warmed my heart to read. I miss you as well and think of you.
I hear that it is warming up there, that is great. And over here, some of the evenings and mornings are a bit colder, it's wonderful. They tell me that it will be cold in winter which be nice for a change but we'll see I have a feeling that I am actually going to be cold.

These are the two teen girls that I was taking care of for 10 days, they all have to wear uniforms to go to school here.



This is the one side view from the front of the kitchen, I thought that the plants were cool and so I wanted to show you.

Tommorrow I go to a conference at a place called quasisabonto, (something like that), Tracy and I are going and two other guys. We are going from Mon. to Thurs. so we'll see how it goes, I'll hopefully take pictures and show you what it looked like.

Sorry I haven't updated this in a a while, I was out of the office for two weeks and too busy to be able to come in and just sit and do this, but now I have some time. I just spent the last two weeks taking care of the kitchen because the lady who takes care of it went to Durban to do the orientation that I did when I first came. She has been here for a year with her family and so her and her husband went and I took care of the meals and all the donations that we give out a few times a week, an example of this is we can give from 15-20 crates to one person for a daycare of for the poor that they help; and so we go through the coolers after orange grove comes and we carry these crates out to the vehicles. Also for the ten days that the parents were away I took care of their four children; I stayed at the house with them and so that was something that I am not used to but it went fine with only a few glitches from the kids. So the parents came home today and I am quite happy about that, I was going to go out for supper with Tracy but she is tired and so that is not happening which is too bad, but that's how it goes. Yeah so things are going good here, but is so hot here at the moment, they are saying that is not normal....aaahhh :-) but winter will come in a few months so that will be nice.
I am going next week to this place for a conference from Mon. to Thurs. The place is described a little like a colony, they are very natural and at the hospital that they have on the property, they pray and don't use medicine, so I think that it will be interesting. They have a good reputation for loving the Lord and being serious about the Lord and the Lord is doing amazing things there, at least that is what they told us. We have to wear long skirts when we go and no make up and nothing fancy. It should be neat to experience for four days.
