Blog Changes

Hey,
The other day I went to go on my blog and the template had disappeared and so this is the new one.
And Lindsay is here now and it is so good to see her. The day she arrived we took her stuff into her new place and then we were hungry so we went out for supper and had a nice time of catching up. You know I didn't realize how wonderful it would be to be able to say Meadow Lake and she knew where it was, and to say people's names that I haven't said in so long and she knew what I was talking about. Please don't get me wrong I am happy here and am loving serving the Lord here in South Africa, but it truly was so great for me to be able to talk like that with her. To talk about the church and friends and Diny and Aaron and Tiff and Hilary, it was just wonderful.
Sometimes it still seems so... I don't know if surreal is the right word, that Lindsay is here! I just never thought that I would see someone from home while I was here in South Africa. God is so amazing and good! Please pray for Linds that her time here would be a blessed one and that we would be a family to her while she is here. She is doing wonderfully already and is getting right in there with things. She's already been on outreaches which is overwhelming at first because of the level of poverty that the people live in and knowing that we can't help everyone. She has a had a chance to come to our home group and I think that she liked it. I'm sure that she will tell you all these things and much more on her blog so I will leave it for her to tell. But it truly is a huge blessing to have her here. Thanks for all those who prayed for her as she prepared to come.
Things are good and getting hotter as the days go by. I think we've already had some days that have been 35 or close to it and it's only supposed to be spring here, just wait until it's actually summer. aaaahhhhh!
Please pray for rain for us we really need it. Yesterday one of the farmers said that he has lost twelve sheep already because there is no rain. (Thanks for your prayers)
Alright have to go but have a wonderful day and be safe my dear friends and family. Love D

Boys and their Medals!

These are just three of the four boys that went to the competition. There were a lot more students that went but these are the only ones that we know and that come to our church. The came to me yesterday to tell me how they did and they tricked me at first telling me that they lost bad and that it was so hard. I believed them of course and felt so bad for them and then they pulled out their medals and were grinning from ear to ear. They were so proud and I was so proud of them. They worked really hard, and we practicing every moment that they had and it paid off. Good for them, and it's so good to see them succeeding at something. They said that that was the qualifying round and they got gold and silver and now they will go to Nationals at the end of Sept. They also told me last night that there is a lady that might sponsor them with a gym for their training but the thing is is that it is not here in Dundee, so they would move but they assured me that they would come back on Fridays for kids club and Sun. for church. But you know how those things go, they will get busy and make friends there and we may never see them again! Which would be so sad but so great for them to be able to further their training. Please pray for these boys they are so great and really want to keep coming to church. Thanks for all your prayers they mean so much to me. By the way my younger sister is ok she just doesn't have a house yet so please keep praying for her to get a house. The housing is offering her houses but they are in bad areas and are not safe for her children. But God is good and will take care of her. Cheers. D

Skipping Boys

These are some boys that have started coming to our kids club and now to church. They are involved in the sport of skipping and gymnastics. They are very serious about this and this weekend they are going to an international competition where they will compete individually and as a team. One of the coaches that they have comes to kids club with them and brings them to church. They are leaving today and so we made some bag lunches for them, a sandwich, apple, banana, 2 juice and 6 small yogurts oh ya and a small bag of chips. They are supposed to bring supper tonight but I am not sure if they have so that is why we made them these lunch parcels so that they will have something to eat for the trip. It's so great to see these boys serious about something and it keeps them busy and out of trouble. We hope and pray that the Lord will be able to use us to make a difference in their lives that will last for eternity. That they will live for the Lord in all that they do, they are so special and I am glad that God brought them to us. OK gotta go. Hey Linds leaves in 3 days on Sept. 10th and arrives in S.Africa on Sept. 12th and will come here to the mission on Sept. 16th so please keep praying for her. Thanks Cheers. D
